Garden Maintenance & Seasonal Bed Care
Regular bed care that keeps a landscape looking the way it did the week it was installed.
A landscape is a living thing, and the difference between one that looks sharp in year five and one that looks tired is consistent maintenance. Weeds pulled before they seed. Shrubs pruned at the right time of year. Perennials divided before they crowd each other out.
We offer recurring garden maintenance as well as one-time spring and fall cleanups, scaled to what your property actually needs rather than a fixed package.
What garden maintenance includes

- ✓Perennial deadheading, cutbacks and division

Our process
Property review
We walk the beds, note plant types, problem areas and how much attention the landscape realistically needs.
Schedule
We propose a visit frequency — recurring through the season, or spring and fall cleanups only — and quote it clearly.
Seasonal care
Each visit covers weeding, pruning, deadheading and tidying appropriate to that point in the season.
Reporting
If we spot disease, pests, drainage issues or a plant in decline, you hear about it before it becomes a replacement cost.
The Michigan maintenance calendar
Spring cleanup here typically starts in April once beds have dried enough to work without compacting soil. That visit clears winter debris, cuts back last year's perennial growth and re-cuts edges before mulch.
Summer is weeding, deadheading and watering oversight. Prune spring-flowering shrubs such as lilac and forsythia right after they bloom — cutting them in fall removes next year's flower buds entirely.
Fall cleanup after the first hard frost is the most valuable single visit of the year. Removing diseased foliage reduces overwintering fungal problems, and leaving strong-stemmed perennials and seed heads standing gives winter interest and feeds birds through the cold months.
